Beloved mother of Macara Zalenski and Katie (Jason) Marzec, Marybeth’s greatest joy was her family. She was the cherished grandmother of Sophia Marzec, who was truly the light of her life. Marybeth was the devoted sister of Cynthia (Roland) David and Timothy (Dawn) Condon, and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rosemary Condon.
A devout Catholic, Marybeth was guided by her faith throughout her life. She was educated in Catholic schools and graduated from Ladywood High School. For many years, she was a dedicated and active parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Livonia, where she especially enjoyed participating in the Bible Study Group.
Marybeth built a long and respected career with Valassis Communications, where she worked until her retirement. Outside of work, she surrounded herself with wonderful friends with whom she loved spending time, always seeking to share laughter, conversation, and simple moments of joy. Above all, her granddaughter Sophia held a special place in her heart. Marybeth proudly volunteered as a lunch aide at St. Patrick School of Brighton, where she earned the affectionate nickname “Teddy-gram.”
Marybeth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 3:00–8:00 PM, with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:30 AM (gathering at 10:00 AM) at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Livonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice, in gratitude for the compassionate care they provided during Marybeth’s final days. The family also encourages blood donations to the American Red Cross, honoring Marybeth by helping the cancer patients who benefit from these lifesaving gifts.
In memory of Marybeth, the family invites you to share your favorite photo in the “Memory” section below. If you have an original photograph and prefer not to upload it electronically, you are warmly welcome to bring it to the visitation to be added to the collage.
You are also asked to light a candle in her honor at the next Catholic Mass you attend.
