Michael Henry was the beloved husband of more than 53 years to Kathleen Alice Gotz (Voisin). Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, loyalty, and unwavering commitment. Through the decades, they shared countless memories, weathered life’s challenges hand in hand, and celebrated many joys surrounded by family and friends.
He was a loving and devoted father to David Gotz; Christine (Matt) Brohl; Karen (Steve) Klingensmith; and Eric (Sarah) Gotz. Mike took great pride in his children and the families they created. Nothing meant more to him than being “Grandpa” to Will, Joseph, and Alena. Whether sharing stories, taking them on pontoon boat rides, or simply enjoying time together, he treasured every moment with his grandchildren.
Mike is also survived by his dear sister, Paula (John) Graham, and his brother, Fred (Barb) Gotz. He valued his family deeply and remained closely connected to those he loved throughout his life.
A proud veteran, Mike served his country honorably in the United States Navy, including service aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. He was also a longtime and dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, where he formed lasting friendships and lived out his strong sense of faith and service.
Mike truly came alive outdoors, and he especially loved Northern Michigan. He spent many summers at his property in Roscommon, enjoying long days boating on Higgins Lake, where he proudly taught his children how to water ski and created lasting family memories on the water. In retirement, he made his home at beloved Mullett Lake, where he delighted in taking family and friends out on the pontoon boat, sharing laughter, sunshine, and treasured traditions. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing softball, always ready for friendly competition and good company. In the winter months, he could often be found snowmobiling, embracing the crisp air and quiet beauty of the season.
Above all, Mike cherished time spent with his family. His steady presence, kind heart, and quiet strength were a source of comfort to those around him. He will be remembered for his devotion to his loved ones, his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, and the many memories he leaves behind.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mike will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
