Mildred Muma

MILDRED (NEE RIGGS). Born July 21, 1921. Died December 17, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Muma and dear mother of the late Mark Muma. Surviving her and celebrating her life are: her daughter Marilyn Tenenoff, maternal first cousins Carol Razi and Bonnie Van Name, in-laws Carl and Marion Muma, nine nieces and nephews and their partners, and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

Born and raised in Seelyville, Indiana, Mildred returned there often to visit classmates, some of whom knew and loved her for over 80 years. She enjoyed an extensive network of close friends dating back to her time as a member of the Grand River Avenue Baptist Church and as an involved parent at the Monnier Elementary School in Detroit. Mildred took great pride in her Scottish heritage and spent many happy hours in Scotland visiting life-long friends and relatives there. She was also proud of her 20 plus years of volunteer work in the mammogram department of Providence Hospital where she will be greatly missed by her friends.

Visitation is 3 to 6 pm Sunday December 21st at the Harry Wills Funeral Home, 37000 W. 6 Mile Rd., Livonia MI 48152. Funeral service is 11 am on Monday, December 22nd. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery, 31300 Southfield Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025.
