I miss you Mom, you were always there for me good or bad.  I could have not asked for a better mother, you are the BEST!  You always kept the family together.  Made sure we always started the new year with dinner all together.  It was never a wonder if, we knew to come over on January 1st for dinner and it was always good.  You always made so much, we had enough for everyone to bring home a platter.  Birthdays were the same way.  All the trips to Cadillac.  The one night we went to the casino, Dad only gave you $10 to gamble with and you lost it.  You found me and just gave me a sad face and said "Daddy won't give me any more money".  I gave you more money to play with and off you went smiling away.  Or the time we went to the zoo and we all got our faces painted, even you.  I have a lot of good memories that I will never forget.  You are always on my mind and in my heart.  Till we meet again.

In every sense I was  your shadow, I followed you everywhere in the kitchen, through the stores, church on Sundays and  Burger King right after like always. And the same argument every time if you get the Whopper you don't need the fries, I still hear it in your words every time I pass by. The walks after dinner with rose I tried my best to keep up with you guys. The Pinochle games with the family and friends, where nonno would tap me on my arm with his hot spoon he had just stirred with his coffee and anisette, with a Marlboro burning in his other hand. Your laugh still Rings loud in my ears every time I think of those game nights. In the kitchen by your side is where I learned the most. I had unspoken direction of what to do, when to do it and when to move. You always told everyone with pride I don't have to tell her anything she just knows and does it. I was blessed to be the first grandchild. And as selfish as it may sound, I had you to myself. Every summer I looked forward to going up north we would pack everything up and head out me riding between you and nonno all the way. Stopping at Tony's for a big breakfast and just before we get to the house a little gas station on the side for our Superman ice cream. And when our roles changed and I started to take care of you, all those memories flooded back even more. The tears I shed are of joy of all the great memories and stories I can pass on to my children and to one day my grandchildren of how great you are.
 We love you and we will always miss you nonna
