Loving grandfather of Leo III (Kirsten) Kowalyk, Karl (Andrea) Kowalyk, Kelly, Paul Jr, (Jamie), Michael (Kellie), Keith (Sherry), Amy (Garrett) Ignasiak, Michelle (Derek) Zuidema, James, Andrew, John and Steven. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Bernice Rostkowski and the late Chester Sims.

Visitation Friday January 11, 2019 from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia. Vigil service Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service Saturday January 12, 2019, in state at 11:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:30 am at St. Colette Catholic Church 17600 Newburgh Rd. in Livonia. Richard will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
