

Ronald "Ron" Lloyd Klinect, beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024 surrounded by his daughters, at the age of 82. Ron was born on April 10, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Starr and Erva Klinect.
Ron's devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He was the loving husband of Patricia Klinect and the devoted father of Susan (Michael) Hermann, the late Robin (Chris) Reid, and Tracey (Jeffrey) DeKraker. Ron's heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren: Jacob (Carrie) Hermann, Allyson (Joel) Maki, Samantha Reid, Mackenzie Reid, Mitchell (Hannah) DeKraker, Riley DeKraker, and Colin DeKraker. He was also a beloved great-grandfather to Adelaide Maki and Hayden DeKraker and dear brother of Marvin Klinect. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters Margaret Babb and Luella Dunn and the mother of his children, Lorelei Klinect.
Professionally, Ron dedicated 37 years of his life to Detroit Edison, where he held a management position. His employees respected him greatly, recognizing him as not only a competent leader but also a compassionate and understanding boss.
Beyond his professional life, Ron's true passion lay with his family. They were his hobby, his joy, and his purpose. He found immense fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories and building strong bonds.
Ron was a devout member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia, where his faith was a guiding force in his life. He found solace and strength in his religious beliefs and was an active participant in church activities.
A proud University of Michigan fan, Ron bled Maize and Blue. He found joy in cheering on his favorite team, whether from the stands or in front of the television. Additionally, Ron had a soft spot for dogs, especially his beloved companion, Miranda, who brought him endless joy and companionship.
In honor of Ron's memory, donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. Ron's legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church: 30650 Six Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48152 on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 11: 00 AM (visitation 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) with a luncheon to follow at the church, there will be a livestream link provided below for those unable to join.
