Rosalind Jeannette Rossi (née Colson) passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 12, 1941, in Edinburgh, Scotland to Carl and Marga Colson, Rosalind brought warmth, grace, and a gentle spirit to all who knew her.
A devoted wife to the late Rino Rossi, Rosalind shared many beautiful years with him until his passing in 2014. Their love and partnership were the foundation of a close-knit and deeply loving family.
Rosalind was the cherished mother of Susan (Scott) Wolter, Heather (Sal) Lacaria, and Rino (Andrea) Rossi. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Trent (Mary) Wolter, Caitlyn Wolter, Lauren (Tommy) Engle, Alexa (Alessio) Sabiry, Frankie Lacaria, Dominic Rossi, Liliana Rossi, and Isabella Rossi. Her legacy continues through her precious great-grandchildren: Ella, Lila, Luca, Enzo Engle, Amelia, Sonny Sabiry, and eagerly awaited baby Weston Wolter.
She was a beloved sister to Carol Anne (Linda) Colson and Kim Rogers. Rosalind was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loyal feline companion, Tova, whom she lovingly rescued and cared for.
Rosalind’s passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found joy in gardening, quilting, baking, and spending cozy afternoons shopping on QVC. She especially loved having real tea parties with her grandchildren. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family— her greatest joy and pride.
Rosalind will be laid to rest beside her beloved Rino during a chapel service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 10am. Her memory will be held in the hearts of those who loved her, and her gentle presence will be deeply missed.
