Terry was a devoted husband of 59 years to Arlene (Donegan) and father of Ann Marie (David) Bishop, Phillip (Lydia), Dennis, Marty (Susan), Mary Kay (Steven) Sykora and Michelle (Michael) Fritsche.
He was grandfather, “Bumpa”, to Emily, Cameron, Ann, Keara, Kaleigh, Liam, Chloe, Keegan, Claire, Gavin and Kayden.
Terry is survived by his brother, John (Mary Jean) and was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Lillian Hussey, and siblings Sr. Eileen - O.P., Paul, Phillip, Nancy, Brian and Kevin. He was also an uncle to 32 nieces and nephews who loved his smile and sense of humor.
Terry attended St. Theresa High School in Detroit where he excelled in sports.
Terry’s favorite place was their cottage in Caseville where he and Arlene enjoyed hosting family gatherings and forming life-long friendships. His favorite pastime was playing golf at Bird Creek Golf Club. Terry’s legacy to his family is the annual E.P. Hussey Family Golf Tournament and Reunion, in which he combined his two passions: love of family and love of golf. The family celebrated the 50th reunion this past July in Caseville!
Visitation Sunday, August 26, from 2 pm – 8 pm with a Rosary/Scripture service at 7 pm at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152. Funeral in state Monday, August 27, at 10 am at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48154. Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
