Urszula (Babcha) Mary Flanz-Gunn, 73, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 in Ann Arbor at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Urszula was born on January 7, 1946 in Poland, she was the first of four children born to Michal and Natalie (nee: Losiewicz) Osip. Her family moved to the United States in 1949. Following her attendance at St. Hedwig High School, Urszula was a Manager at Cadillac Motors, which she left to raise her four children. Later she reentered the workforce as a Purchaser at Hollingsworth.
Lately she enjoyed visits to the Hartland Senior Activity Center, where she attended various art classes. She also loved spending time at her cottage on Neff Lake in Hartland Township. Her favorite hobbies were painting, drawing, crocheting, gardening and fishing. For Babcha spending time with her grandchildren was, above all her favorite pastime.
Urszula is survived by her daughter, Celeste Flanz-Tahmouch; step-daughter, Heather Belcher; step-son, Joshua Gunn; brothers, Adam (Anna Mae) Osip and Michael (Shawne Marie) Osip; sister, Helen Kozak; grandchildren, Andrea (Michael) Grant, Sarah (Mark) Lenz, Katlyn Belcher, Courtney Belcher, Alexis Gunn, Rayna Gunn, Toby Gunn, Gennavie Gunn, Aionna Gunn, Avanjulena Gunn, Nia Gunn; and great-grandson, Caleb Tahmouch.
She was pre-deceased by her son, LeRoy Flanz, Jr. and her godson Andy Chaaban.
Friends may visit Friday, September 6, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. (with a Rosary recitation at 7:00 p.m.) at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison St., Livonia, MI.
