Violet B. Wilson (nee: Niffin), 90, of Livonia, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Violet was born on December 29, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Harold & Gertrude Niffin, the second of their two children. Violet graduated in 1948 from Cooley High School in Detroit. During high school she met Cary L. Wilson who would later become her husband. After graduation, Violet trained as a medical assistant and worked as a secretary at Westinghouse while Cary was serving the country in the Army. After Cary's discharge, they married on June 24, 1950. They welcomed three children to their family that Violet raised as a full-time mother.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her dear husband of 70 years, Cary; son, Cary A. (Alison) Wilson; daughters, Kathryn A. (Mark) Bondy, and Lynne F. (Al) Rogers; brother, William (Sally) Niffin. Nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. She will be missed by her two Schnauzers, "Mini" and "Maxim".
A private burial service will be held at Glen Eden Cemetery.
