Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Victoria (Bradley) Kronberg; stepchildren, Derek (Sara) Macheske, Mike (Debbie) Broome, and Karen Lynn (Dan) Bass; his grandchildren, Elliana and Nolan, Katie, Matt, and Amy; and his sister, Betty Hoffman.
Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He carried great pride in his military service throughout his life and maintained a deep interest in military history, especially World War II. Even in his later years, hearing the unmistakable sound of a B-24 bomber overhead would send Bill eagerly outside to watch it pass by. Bill certainly knew his World War II aircrafts!
Following his military service, Bill dedicated 38 years to Michigan Bell before retiring. Retirement, however, did not slow him down. He continued working as a contractor with AT&T, a role that allowed him to experience new places and adventures, including living in Hawaii for a year and a half, spending eight months in Zurich, Switzerland, and making two work trips to Saudi Arabia along the Red Sea.
Bill also had a deep passion for classic cars. He especially treasured his 1957 Chevy, 1940 Ford Coupe, and his two fast 1986 Buick Grand Nationals. He enjoyed attending classic car shows and sharing those experiences with his close friends and fellow car enthusiasts.
Bill will be remembered for his patriotic spirit, adventurous nature, love of history, and enthusiasm for classic cars.
William's family will receive guests on June 28, 2026, to gather and visit beginning at 12:30pm. A Memorial Service with military honors will start promptly at 2:00pm. Military Honors will be provided by The United States Air Force Funeral Honors Team at Harry J Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
To honor William's casual nature, jeans or shorts are the encouraged attire.
