I didn't get to grow up knowing my Grandpa as well as I'd have liked due to the vast distance we lived apart. The times we did spend together, he was always charming, funny and a proud man. His love for Marie, and his family, always shone through. 

I hope you have found peace and your lost loved ones once more.

I always knew you as Granpa Tallieu. Just wanted to write a message to say thanks for the times we shared. They were far too few however, living so far apart made the visits so special. I look forward to seeing you and Grandma in heaven. May your life's be an inspiration to our family and others. It's is a beautiful thing to see a strong man look after his family and I hope I can be like you. Love you

I first met André and Marie at St. Andrews Church in the mid-1880's and we continued our Church community friendship at St. Michaels Church right up until he returned to his eternal home and the loving arms of his beloved Marie. Our friendship blossomed to new heights in the last few months when I was blessed with the opportunity to bring him Holy Communion every Wednesday morning. Our conversations were engaging and our prayer time inspiring.  Andre knew how to pray and enthusiastically shared his prayers with me. I am a better man for his friendship and I will miss him. Enjoy your place in heaven André, please pray for us.

I only met Andre in Dec. when he & my husband came to the hospice & that acquaintance lasted until late March but during that time I had the opportunity of knowing a lovely man who was always concerned with my husbands health & how the battle was going - while he would only admit to the odd bad night & nothing more.  I would not be exaggerating to say that everyone at the hospice had a warm spot for Andre ...we were all familar with that great smile.  I am very happy to have known him if even for a short time..your family is in my thoughts........Jeanne Olliver

I am very proud to have been Andre's friend. He was a very good man-very honest, kind and passionate about all he did. He loved his family dearly and never wanted to trouble anyone. Rest in peace Andre, you are now with your beautiful wife Marie.

He was and still is a blessing to each and every person who had the pleasure of knowing such a wonderful man.  He will forever be in our hearts and will live on through everyone's memories.

To say you lived with honor, kindness, strength and humility underestimates the very man you were. The truth is you, you exemplified these qualities. They defined the man you were. You lived them, gave breath to them, and walked in them. As we all celebrate the warmth and wonder of your life, we remember the memories, the moments, and the lessons you have left us with. I am grateful and blessed to have been your granddaughter and thank you for all of your guidance, wisdom and light you have added to my life over the past 33 years. While we will all miss you terribly, I sm overjoyed that you are no longer in pain, are whole again and have been reunited with our sweet grandmother. Thank you for sharing your love story, for showing us what it meant to love unconditionally, and for taking care of grandma so gently. You have both joined our Lord in his heavenly garden, may you dance together again. Much love and light.

To the Tallieu Family, our sincere condolences to you all at the passing of such a kind, caring gentleman. Andre and Marie were parishioners of St. Andrew's for many years; then I would visit with both at Mt. Hope where Andre so very lovingly looked after his precious Marie. You were all blessed with such great parents and may now God bless you as you continue this earthly journey.

Dear uncle André, I'm sure you'll be happy together with aunt Mary.We'll always remember you as an uncle who loved his family and who respected people and loved nature.  You were  searching for the meaning of life and suffering and so was I. That's why I've  always known you (from so far away) as a philosopher.
Letting go is never easy and it's something you never learn, because the pain you feel is always different. Life is a mystery.The love for your family and the courage you had to take care of aunt Mary is amazing. We're glad that in the end you found peace of mind. We'll never forget you.
