Antonio Capola

Peacefully at LHSC Victoria Hospital, Antonio Capola passed away on June 14, 2011 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Concetta for 49 years. Loving father of Cathy (Sam), Martha (Frank) and Joe (Rachelle). Beloved Nonno of Giuseppe, Antonia, Antonio and Concettina. Loving brother of Giovanni of Italy, Bruna (Giuseppe) of Italy, Santo (Paola) of Italy, Francesco (Angelina) of Italy, Gregorio (Maria) of Montreal, Paola (Sebastiano) of Italy, Paolo (Bruna) of Italy, sister-in-law Florence Capola of British Columbia, brother-in-law of Antonio and Bruna Anghelone of Edmonton and Francesco and Caterina Ambrogio of Italy. Loving uncle of Giuseppina and Carmelo DeStefano of Montreal. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Caterina Capola. Predeceased by brothers Bruno and Nicola, sister Antonia, brother-in-law Giovanni Chila, brother-in-law Bruno Martino, sister-in-law Giovanna Capola and nephew Francesco Chila and niece Angie Anghelone.

Antonio was the last survivor of the Towland Construction Crew. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-10pm with prayers at 8pm at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St.,London). Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 18, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church (345 Lyle St., London). Fr. John Jasica officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery to follow. Donations in Antonio’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated.
