After a courageous battle with cancer, Charlene Esther Goldsmith (nee Brooks) passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 28, 2014, surrounded by loving family, in her 70th year.

Char is survived by her husband Peter and was a loving mother to Brian Bilyea (Denise), Wendy Goldsmith (Dave Bleakney), Matthew Goldsmith (Maureen) and the “magnificent seven” grandchildren, Lauren, Christopher, Maryemma, Amy, Jacob (and their dad Michael Pol), Emily and Brooke.

Loving sister to Robert Brooks, Donna Martens and Kathleen Brooks.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Elisabeth Brooks and sister Betty Brooks.

Quick witted, always loving, an avid card shark, and a long time Bell employee. She will be missed by family and friends and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas Street) on Saturday May 3, 2014 from 10am-11am, where the Service of Remembrance will be at 11 am.
