

Debbie was born in Kitchener on April 27, 1956 to William Gable and Edith Woodley. She was married August 2008 to the man who stole her heart, Russell Grant, who preceded her in death in February, only 5 months prior to her. It is said that she died of a broken heart. Debbie enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a long time member of the Women of the Moose on Weston Street and served as Senior Regent and Junior Graduate Regent. She worked car shows, headed fundraisers and had a very positive attitude towards anything she was involved with. Debbie especially loved cruising and karaoke but nothing made her feel more complete than having family and friends around her.
She is survived by her son, Tim Thwaites, daughters; Angie (Russ Clunas), Karen and Shelley (Aaron Atkins) Thwaites, her honorary son, Mark Thibert and Russell’s sons Danny and Darrell Grant, 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and Darrell’s 3 children. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Gable, Darlene (Guy) McAllister and Judy (Rick) Barker her special brother and sister-in-law, Kenny & Betty Grant and Darlene & Bill Jordan, numerous nieces and nephews, her dear friends Debbie & Doug Heath and many other family and friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russ, her sister, Helen Gable, Robert Thwaites (Tim, Angie and Karen’s dad), John Thwaites (Shelley’s dad) and Bob Phaneuf.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation for Debbie from 2:00pm -4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday July 25, 2019 at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street, London; followed by a funeral service on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11am in the Needham Funeral Home Chapel.
