Uncle Dennis was my father's ( Alec de Freitas ) younger brother and despite the fact that I only met him twice, he made a profound impact on myself, my mother ( Theresa ) and siblings particularly after my father died, we were able to maintain contact for many years before it became too much for him, I am very sad that he has passed particularly as I am getting older and realize more and more that family is our most important gift.

So sorry to hear of Dennis' passing.  We got to know Dennis quite well through Parkinson's.  He was a very kind and giving man.  Our prayers are will all his family.   Blanche & Hugh Davis

I met Dennis 3 years ago through a "seniors group".  An amazing friendship grew and developed over those 3 years. He would always say "listen" when he wanted your attention, and we teased him about that.   A very kind-hearted and giving person and a great humanitarian!  He will be missed.

I knew Dennis from the Parkinson's Support Group and many times he gave me a ride. He was very kind and a real gentleman. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Dennis and Maria were great friends and neighbors of ours and we have many happy memories of all the family as well. We Were both saddened to hear of Dennis's passing . To Robert and Caroline and Tracy and Mark and Craig and all the de Freitas family, Please know we are and  thinking of you at this difficult time. We will remember Dennis and Maria as kind people.

I met Dennis through my Mother Lena Guerra and friend Kam Boyce.  In the short time I knew him, he seemed to be a man who knew his mind, was very kind and enjoyed dancing to the steel drum band that played at the Kiwanis Senior Center.  His eyes reminded me of my Grandfather's and could see the warmth in them when Mom, Kam and I played euchre with him on a couple of occasions at Parkwood.  My sincere condolences.

Gary and I wish  to offer our deepest sympathy to the family of Dennis. he was very involved with the Parkinson's Society as well as the Parkinson Support Group. My husband and I were pleased to work with him in the Parkinson Support Group. He was a very caring gentleman and gave his all to helping those in our group needing assistance. I am sure he will be sadly missed by his family.

We knew Dennis & Maria from the Parkinson' Support Group for many years.  Dennis was a real asset to the group and continued on after Maria was unable to attend and even after Maria's death.  Dennis was so very helpful, kind and considerate to everyone.  He made many many meaningful contributions to the group.  We will fondly remember him.  Suzanne & Gary Hatchard
