Donna Jean Plaskon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Jean Plaskon (née Netzel) on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in her 79th year. Donna was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, and was the first-born daughter of John Paul and Jean Netzel.

Loving mother to her sons Paul (Tracy) and Christopher (Karen), and proud Nana to her cherished grandchildren Spencer (Cheyenne) and Charlotte. Donna will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters Constance Macrow (John) and Kimberly Luceri (Tony), and her niece Cassandra (Marco) Spinelli, as well as her great-nephews Gianmarco and Cristiano.

Donna was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness. She was the heart of the kitchen, the cook of the family, curating many wonderful meals that brought everyone together. She also had a love for travel and crafting and was known for her keen eye for decor. Her beautifully decorated Christmas trees were a highlight of the holiday season and a reflection of her creativity and warmth.

Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband George in 2021, after 48 years of marriage.

A private interment will be held, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
