Ethel Evelyn White

Ethel Evelyn (Kicks) White- surrounded by her family at Parkwood Hospital on June 18th, 2018 in her 97th year passed away peacefully, to begin her final journey home. Ethel was born in Turnberry Township, Wingham, Ontario January 14th, 1922. Ethel was a loving mother to Janet (White) Fenech and predeceased son-in-law, Charles. Cherished grandmother of David Fenech (Patti) and Jennifer Fenech (Guy), also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Susan (Welsh) Kicks, her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph Nelson (2004) and her siblings; Gertrude White, Elsie Phillips, Violet, Harry, Sydney, Frederick, Lloyd, Wilbert and Donald Kicks. Ethel will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks for Ethel’s care go to the staff at Ashwood Manor Retirement Home, Victoria Hospital and Parkwood Palliative Care. Visitation will be at NEEDHAM FUNERAL SERVICE (520 Dundas St.) on Thursday, June 21 from 7pm-9pm and service will take place on Friday June 22 at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment: Robin Hill Cemetery. In memory of Ethel, donations made out to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated for their assistance provided to Ethel and her family in her early childhood.
