

In loving memory of Frances Scrimshaw, née McIntyre, of London, Ontario, who passed away gently on Thursday, February 9 at Parkwood Veterans Hospital where she received loving care in the last weeks of her life. Born in Brantford ON, she was the youngest daughter of the late Duncan Campbell McIntyre and the late Margaret Garson. Predeceased by her beloved husband and very best friend, Albert Scrimshaw, and their infant daughter, Lorraine Gayle, Frances was a proud, generous and loving mother to her daughter Sandelle (Sandi) of Ottawa ON and son Brent of Moncton NB and his wife, Lorraine. She will be deeply missed by them and by her granddaughters Brianna and Mackenzie, her grandsons Matthew and Michael and their mother, Judy Pace. Frances served as a Wren with the Canadian Navy during the Second World War and worked for United Community Services and Fanshawe College during her professional life. She will be remembered for her sweetness and kindness, for her strong commitment to family, for her sense of fun and for her positive attitude even as her health declined.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Needham Funeral Services. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 11 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Needham Funeral Home. A celebration of Frances Scrimshaw's life will be held at a later date.
