George Chester Grant

GRANT, George Chester- He was a father, husband, brother and loved by many. After George had fought a great fight, he passed away peacefully February 4th, 2017 at University Hospital. He was surrounded with love, comfort and peace during his time of hopeful healing. We all will miss his larger than life smile, positive greeting, warm hugs and love of family. He will be so missed by many and never forgotten. George was a loving husband of Brenda (nee Knox). Cherished father of Kathy Buchanan, Gary Grant (Marguerite), George Jr. Grant, Judy Barton (Greg), Johnny Grant (Alison), Anne Atyeo ( Stephen), William Grant (Kristy), David Harris and Crystal Cordell (Trevor). He will be truly missed by his 56 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Queenie Fulton (Lamont) and Shirley Brown and by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Eva, Helen, Rosie, Havelock, Albridge, Pat, Greta, Percy, William, Clayton and Jeanie. Funeral Service will take place at Needham Funeral Home (520 Dundas St.) on Wednesday February 8th at 12pm with visitation one hour prior. Graveside to follow at St. Peter’s cemetery. In memory of George, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
