It’s been a year already and it seems like just yesterday I was with you. You’re often on my mind and quite often even in my dreams. Every time I see a Spivak  truck, hear a  old country or yodelling song, see an old car, or even certain tools I use, I think of you. I’m constantly amazed at how much of my life is wrapped up in you. Your influence is constantly with me and the many great memories still live on.   I’m so glad you got to know Esther, and she you. I know you both loved each other and now she can better understand me and share in the memories of you. I thank God I have the old video tapes of some of our “good times” together, celebrating Christmas or your birthday with music and laughter, but the real joy is the heart-memories of a life filled with your love and sacrifice for your family, and most of all the long suffering grace of my Heavenly Father that you had in you and was reflected in your life and extended to your family. I miss you daddy, but only your physical presence because your spirit lives on within my memory and emotions. I love you pops.  And in the context of the Eternity we both share, I can sincerely say “See you soon!”


My Dearest Aunt June, Laurie, Steve and families, 
It is with sadness that I learned today from my mother Elaine (Gord’s niece) of the passing of Uncle Gord. I have such fond memories of dinners, family reunions and good times with you all and will always remember Aunt June and Uncle Gord’s hospitality when I first moved to London. I could always see the beautiful face of my grandmother, Greta, reflected in Gord’s. So sorry that I heard too late to make it to his service. 
Thinking of you all with gratitude and fondness.

Friends for 70 plus years. June and June met 72 years ago in public school.   I met Gord 70 years ago.  Ted (Reeve) June  Hodgins-Reeve  traveled many miles to Gospel Concerts, vacations to Florida 1995,  and Texas , 1997, together.  for many years.  Wonderful memories  of  Praising the LORD,  music nights, breaking bread together.  Our love for one another lives on in our hearts.

When we leave this earth, the love that we’ve given and received remains behind to light the lives of those we touched - each memory a candle burning bright.  Dear Lorie, Steve and Esther, and to the rest of the family, wishing you comfort in knowing how brightly LOVE shines on, and to let you know we share your sorrow and the hurt in your hearts.  Wishing you comfort and solace in knowing love grows on.  So sorry we can’t make it to the funeral as you know we are away.   LUABunch xx and a great BIG HUG too!!
