**UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION* Kenneth Russell Gaus

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ken Gaus on October 23, 2022 at the age of 65 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ken was loved to the moon and back by his cherished fiancée, Sue McManus. He was greatly loved by his siblings Wendy Gaus, Kevin Gaus (Michelle) and Karen Otto (Jay). As well as his "brother-from-another-mother" T.J. Babinetz. Ken was a loving and supportive Uncle to Rebecca (Mike), Tom (Teresa), Joshua (Amanda), Teagan (Liam), Stephanie (Luke), Lachlan, Tristan (Sam), Carter, Lauren, and Matthew as well as a doting Great-Uncle to Sierra, Ariana, Baylan, and Lennox (his ”little Nugget”). He was a cousin and nephew to many and a friend to so many others. Ken was an animal lover and is missed by his rescue cats whom he lovingly called “the 3 Mousekateers" Pete, Myka and Maglin. Ken is pre-deceased by his father Wilfred Gaus and his mother Ruth Gaus.

To say Ken was an AVID Star Trek fan is a bit of an understatement. He was an enthusiastic fan, collector and convention goer and forged many friendships along the way which he has treasured. He was a kind, generous and compassionate man and would be touched deeply by the many tributes to him. His loss is a tremendous blow to all of us who love him.

Following Ken's wishes, cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life to follow in Spring 2023 (invitations will be sent out at a later date). A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 beginning at 1:00pm at Pine Knot Golf and Country Club (5421 Hamilton Rd. Dorchester ON).
