I was the supervisor of Noah's final-year software engineering project at the University of Ottawa. I remember him as a vibrant and confident speaker when he discussed his work with me and gave presentations (I still have the video of his final presentation).

I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing, and send my heartfelt condolences to his family.

He finished his degree requirements so he will be receiving his software engineering degree posthumously from the university.

Naod, Naomi, mom and dad.

I am so sorry for you loss. Noah was such a light and was loved by every single person he met.

I became close with him when I was in grade 12 and he was in his 13th year at ESMB. That year we showed up to physics class late far too many times because we were joking around for too long every day after lunch. I remember going out of my way with some friends to go through the drive through at the Hamilton road McDonalds because we knew Noah would give us a laugh and sneak us some extra cookies. Sometimes before a big test, we would talk on the phone late at night to study together.

Noah and I grew even closer when we both moved to Ottawa for school. In first year we ate together in the cafeteria nearly every day and we stayed up late in residence studying, but rarely ever getting much work done because we would be talking too much. When he moved to the house on Chapel street, Noah opened his home to me, to the point where I felt comfortable walking in without knocking.

I tried to see him as much as I could this year, despite the pandemic. We often went for long walks in the park when he was in Ottawa or talked on the phone for hours.

Noah was a gift and I feel so blessed to have been friends with him. His loss will be felt by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. My thoughts are with you as you mourn and remember the beautiful life he led.

With love,

Erin Smith

We pray that you find strength to accept this unimaginable loss and to cope with the void that he has left in your hearts.

May you find the courage to silence all the thoughts and questions. Be still knowing that God's will has been done. Noah is home and at peace.

Noah always made working at McDonald's great. He had the best sense of humour and could turn the worst of days into the best of days. I always looked forward to seeing his name on the schedule. I still tell people about the black trays story because it’s number 1 just like you. You’re always employee of the month in my mind! Miss you always ♥️

Noah did his placement at our pharmacy when he was in high school. He used to make us laugh and would bring in french fries for us and make Sahle pay for it. He was a bright student and a nice person. He could make anyone laugh and would cheer you up on days you didn't feel good. We were shocked when we heard the news of his passing. We at Masonville Pharmacy send our condolences to the family during these hard times. We are sorry for your loss.

I was blessed to have Noah in my life since our first day of school, and even if our paths crossed less during our post-secondary years, it's so hard to imagine this world without him in it. He was kind hearted, true to his character, a good friend and one of the wittiest men I knew. He was a rare person that made you feel like you could really be yourself when you were around him. I will hold tightly memories with him from his 11th birthday party, school trips, prom, graduation and many more moments in between.
Suzi, Solomon, Naod, Naomi and the rest of his loved ones: my heart and deepest condolences go out to you.
With love, Sean
