WYLLIE Paul Gordon - Paul passed away peacefully the morning of January 17, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospice after battling cancer in the most brave and dignified way, he was only 42. Paul leaves a beautiful wife and soulmate Lorianne and a daughter, Kendell who made even the hardest days of his illness a little less hard.
Paul is survived by his parents Dennis and Anne; his sister Denise (Paul) Athanasiou; his brother Jeff; his nieces and nephews Alexandra, Christian, Nathan, Alyssa and Caleb; plus many amazing and supportive friends. Paul had a great love of all sports but mostly loved to play hockey as he did throughout his youth. He played AAA in London and was captain of one of his teams. As his illness progressed he became quite the armchair athlete which helped foster his new found love of football. Throughout Paul’s life, he was always seen as a leader & Paul eventually owed his own drywall company which brought him such a sense of pride and accomplishment but nothing could match the pride and love he felt for his beautiful daughter, Kendell. Paul outlived his prognosis by years which shows his commitment to family and his courageous spirit. He will be so desperately missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (485 Windermere Road P.O. Box 1449, Station ‘B’ London, ON N6A 5M2) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at St. George Catholic Church (1164 Commissioners Rd W, London, ON N6K 1C7) on Monday January 23, 2017 at 11:00am. Arrangements entrusted to Needham Funeral Service. Online tributes may be made at www.needhamfuneralhome.com
