Suddenly and tragically, on April 1st, 2023 Robert David Poirier lost his battle with his demons. He will be forever loved & greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.
Kindness & love.
If you have it in your heart, even the darkest of days cannot steal that from you.
Robbie would always have a kind word, smarty pants joke or comment, big bear hug, & a way of making someone else smile or laugh when they were having a dark day, even when he was having his own dark moments. If he loved you, you knew you were loved.
Robbie was very proud of & passionate about his volunteer work with the Anchorage Alaska Fire Department & St.John Ambulance in London . His greatest goal in life was to help save lives.
Survived by the light of his life daughter Olivia, love of his life Sarah, Mother Amanda & stepdad Jon, sister & best friend Rowan (best bud - Brandon) & nephews Bentley & Weston, brothers Fletcher (Natalie), brother Tanner and sister Jillian, Mumma Helena, Granny Debbie, Aunt Skye (Andrew), Uncle Bryant (Lauren), Uncle Mike (Holly), Uncle Andy (Sherry) uncle Jonathan, best friends/cousins Kaine & Brittney, his many other cousins, extended family & friends in Canada & the USA that he loved so much.
He will also be missed by his special Alaska friend family Kirsten, Karen, Kim, Dino, Izzy, Aiden & Jacob.
Predeceased by father Shawn, Grandpa/best buddy Brian, Poppa Dave, Grandma Cathy & Grandfather Robert.
A visitation will take place at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas Street) on Saturday April 8th, beginning at 12pm, with a funeral service beginning that same day at 1pm.
We ask you to please not send flowers, but please bring $5 Tim’s gift cards and Hot Wheels cars, so that we may donate them to the people who are less fortunate in his honour during this Easter holiday weekend.
Donations to addiction services or mental health services in Robbie's name would also be appreciated.
We also request that all those in attendance wear plaid shirts or Toronto Maples leafs gear or best dad joke t-shirts in memory of Robert.
