Susan Hickson

Sue passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 24 at the age of 72.

Her fiery spirit, generous heart, and scrappy humour will be missed by her children Trudi and Terry and their spouses Nick and Crystal. Her grandchildren Jacob, Max, and Laurelle will miss their Nana who remembered every birthday, while sneaking them pocket money and Quality Streets when no one was looking.

Susan truly adored her sisters Lynn and Jeanette; being with their families, and bantering with her brothers-in-law Ric and Sherman. As “Auntie Susan,” she was always so proud of her nieces and nephews.

Susan was predeceased by her loving parents Harry and Ethel. She missed them both dearly and loved them even more.

Sue also leaves behind a community of treasured friends who she also considered her family.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sue’s life on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11 am at The Church at Nairn, 26459 Bear Creek Rd. RR 1 Ailsa Craig ON N0M 1A0.

“You taught me to be strong and resilient, as if you knew I'd need that strength when you left me unexpectedly.” Thank you, Mom. Rest now. You have more than earned it.
