Vera has always been a trail blazer and a rock for our little family. As a student at Fanshawe College Vera was instrumental in getting the pub opened there, she was also a member of the student paper where she wrote concert reviews with her friend Sue by her side as she wrote, Sue would take photographs at the various concerts. She loved her rock & roll and dancing. In retirement she spent her time raising her grandchildren and supporting her family in so many ways! Vera became a parent to Patricia and Sonja Chandler in 1967 and 1969 they were later joined by younger sister Jamie-Lee Saberi in 1978. Through many of life’s ups and downs her children knew that they could count on their mother for a firm hand, shoulder to cry on or guidance along the way.
