Adeline Elizabeth Howes

Born Aug 31st 1919 has gone home to be with our lord on Oct 4th 2014. She was born and raised in Minonk Illinois where she will be put to rest at a future date to be announced. She moved to Bloomington in the late 30s where she took a job as a telephone operator. In Bloomington is where she met her husband of 55 years Raymond Howes. In the mid-1960s they moved to Long Beach CA where they both took jobs at Douglas Aircraft co. After she retired in the late 70s she spent her time volunteering taking care of the elderly shut-ins also helped with meals on wheels. She was an example to our family on how to live a Christian life with optimism, love and generosity. She is survived by her son Lyle Howes, daughter in-law Julie Howes, grandchildren Danny, Sarah and Chad also 3 great-grandchildren Lily, Elliot and Jerad and sister Evelyn Elwood in Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, parents Emilie Timmerman and Herman Timmerman, Brother Jr. Timmerman and Sister Emily Rittenhouse.
