D. Carmen Weber passed away on April 14, 2011 after a long bout with Lupus and Lymphoma. Carmen worked for the Los Angeles Archdiocese, San Pedro Region as the secretary to four Regional Bishops, Bishop Carl Fisher, Bishop Joseph Sartoris, Bishop Alex Salazar and Bishop Oscar Solis, She was originally from Baltimore, Maryland and moved to California in the 1960's. This is where she met and married her husband, George Weber. Carmen and George bore one son, George Jr. Carmen had an affinity for shopping and entertaining friends and family at her home. She was thrilled when her son married the love of his life, Christa, but never as thrilled was she as when she found out that she was going to be expecting her first grandchild, Lily Rose, due to enter our world in September. Carmen had a very strong faith, she would often pray for those who were sick with cancer that she did not even personally know.
There will be a Rosary & Vigil on Tuesday, April 19, at 6 pm and the funeral will be on Wednesday, April 20th at 10:30 am. Both services will be at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Lakewood.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Carmen's name to the Todd Cancer Institute at 562-933-GIVE or the Lupus Foundation of America at 209-349-1155.
