Carol Ann Welch

Carol was born in Providence, Rhode Island as the eldest of two children to James and Mildred O'Connell. She will always be remembered for her Generosity and was the Sweetest of the Sweetest. She was a devoted animal lover whose kindness and gentle soul enriched all who knew her. She Loved Life, She Loved People, She Loved her Family Most of All. Carol graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1954 and went on to Nursing school. She was employed by Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator. Carol then moved to San Diego in 1960 where she met and married Bob, the love of her life for 52 years. The two were joined in Holy Matrimony at St. Brigid in Pacific Beach, CA on July 14th 1962. Bob and Carol had two children Rob and Teri. The family moved to Los Alamitos in 1972 where they purchased a home in Suburbia on Rochelle St. Carol was active in the St. Mary's Guild and the PTA.

Carol's brother, James Leo O'Connell 1947 ~ 2010, had three children Carol Ann, James Leo and Rebecca Lynn.

Carol is survived by her husband Bob, her son Rob and his wife Tammy, her daughter Teri and Teri's husband Doyle Olson, and grandchildren Brittney, Amanda, Briana, Robbie, Andrea, Lauren and dog Bailey.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday February 7th, 2014 at 11:00 am at Saint Hedwig Catholic Church, located at 11482 Los Alamitos Blvd.

Reception immediately following at the DeLellis' home at 11294 Rochelle St. Los Alamitos.
