Beloved Husband, Father & Opa.... Cornelis "Bert" Bernsen passed away December 15, 2015. He was survived by his children Carol & Lloyd Tolen, Pauline and Scott Nelson, Michelle and David Shaw, Robert Bernsen and his grand children Jennifer, Scott, Tiffany, Brandon, Amber, Katie, Karisa, Allie, Alex, Amanda and Eric. His wife Maria "Miep" Bernsen has already passed away and is reunited with him. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father, respected businessman and a man of great integrity. He will live on in our hearts and remain a great example for his grand children that adored him and were by his side until the end. He had 87 great years! We celebrate his life with a Viewing and Rosary Monday, December 28 from 4-8pm and Mass and Burial Tuesday December 29 at 11am at All Souls Mortuary located at 4400 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach, CA. 90807.
