Francesco "Franco" Mancuso was born in Termini Imerese, Sicily on October 28, 1936 to Antonina Palumbo and Lorenzo Mancuso. The oldest of six children, he learned the trade of tailoring at an early age to help care for his family. Franco continued to tailor for over sixty years. On April 14, 1962, Franco married Maria Russo. Together they had two daughters: Antonella and Marisa. In February 1972, Franco began the process of moving his family from Sicily to the United States. They lived in Chicago, Illinois for a short amount of time before Franco bought his family a home in Long Beach, California. It was here, in Long Beach, that Franco chose to love his wife, raise his daughters, build his reputation as a tailor, be a faithful Jehovah's Witness, and to be the foundation of a family that would otherwise not exist were it not for his strength, values, and dedication. Franco passed away peacefully, in his sleep on Saturday, July 25th, 2015. He is survived and remembered by his wife, two daughters, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
