

He was the second oldest of 5 children and enjoyed living in a large family. They eventually settled in New York where he helped his father in the family’s butcher shop. They were able to survive the Great Depression and managed to see hundreds of his beloved Yankees baseball games.
He met his wife Clara while chaperoning one of his sisters who was a good friend of his future wife.
Frank was in the army during WWII. He noticed that the food wasn’t that edible and told the chef that he learned to cook from his wonderful mother. They immediately appointed him as the cook/baker and he was lucky not to have to shoot anyone while serving in the Philippines. Frank and Clara married after the war ended.
Rina was adopted in 1959 and because of Frank’s job they moved to California. Frank worked as an accounts payable manager until his retirement in 1982.The family went on several summer vacations throughout the years and formed numerous close knit friendships that lasted a lifetime.
He was a gentle and loving soul who loved sports especially baseball, sweets, singing, reading, traveling in both the United States and Europe and dancing to the Big Bands.
Frank and Clara were married for 63 years until Clara’s passing in 2008.
Since then, Frank had been living in a wonderful private board and care home Gentle Manor Elderly Care that was close to his daughter. They took care that his remaining years were comfortable and loving.
He is now with God, Clara and all of his loved ones.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 3 - 6 pm at the mortuary. Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11 am at St. Cyprian Church with interment following at All Souls Cemetery.
