James Fitzpatrick

James Fitzpatrick peacefully passed away in his home of over 50 years in Long Beach, California, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle and eldest son, Seamus. He is survived by his sister, Moira Coots; sons, Edward and Paul; daughter-in-law, Kristi; and grandchildren, Frances and Seamus. James was born July 2, 1924 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He moved to the United States in 1951. He later sent for and married his beloved Isabelle. James and Isabelle moved from Maryland to California to raise their family. James enjoyed gambling, golfing and baking. He was an avid sports enthusiast and could be found most Saturday's cheering for his grandchildren's AYSO soccer teams. His mischevious grin and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cornelius.
