James Frederick Severance

James Frederick Severance (aka "Jim"), born to Rollin M. and Henrietta Severance of Saginaw, Michigan on December 22, 1934, returned to our Heavenly Father on May 26, 2011 in Rancho Mirage, CA. Jim graduated from Saginaw High School in 1953, followed by Central Bible Institute in Springfield, MO. He moved to California on December 26, 1955, where he married Naomi Ruth Irwin in North Hollywood on February 17, 1956.

In 1958, Jim began working for Severance Tool, Inc., which had been formed in the 1940's by his father Rollin in Michigan. Jim served as President of Sev*Cal Tool, Inc. (formerly Severance Tool, Inc.) and Sevco Investments (formerly Severance Realty Corp.).

He is survived by his wife Naomi, sons Rollin (Rachel) and Kent Severance, daughter JaNa (Bob) Unruh, as well as granddaughters Leah Severance and Stephanie Figge, and grandsons Morgan Figge, Samuel Severance, James Severance and Jeremy Barton. He is also survived by brothers Charles and William Severance of Saginaw, MI, and sisters Catherine Neuenschwander of Ontario, CA and Marietta Terry of Issaquah, WA. Predeceased are brothers Robert and Ralph Severance.
