I met John about a year after moving to California. Since my background was mostly in plastics, I needed help on the elastomer side.  John gave me reliable answers even though our companies competed.  John backed his employees even when a mistake was made.
He will be missed in the rubber industry.

I knew John for a couple years through his involvement with the San Pedro/South Bay L.A. chapter of the Military Officers Assoc of America.  I took over the Secretary position of the chapter from John.  I very much liked John. He was a kind, humorous, and dedicated person.

I worked with John for many years at Master Processing.  A steady, even keeled, and kind person is how I have always remembered him.  Also, a very talented man who cared very much for his employees.  He will be surely missed...

John hired me to work at Master Processing in 1978 and I enjoyed worked for him for 4 years. He was always very generous with his time and extremely fair to those who worked for and with him. He was generally a serious man, but had a great laugh and smile also. I and the West Coast rubber industry will miss John. My condolences to Betty and family.

My first job interview in the Rubber Industry, 1974;  My first position in Management, 1990; My copy of a 1948 R.T.V Handbook:  All, and so much more, received from "JT" Moriarity.  I'll miss you John, but until then, farewell. May GOD Bless your family.

I had the privilege of working for John at Master Processing.  I remember him as unfailingly kind and courteous.  He was generous with his time and knowledge and he taught me much.  I will remember his kindness, his ready smile and gentle wit.  God keep him in His loving embrace and comfort his family.

I started my first job at age 16, working for Mr. Moriarty at Master Processing.  He could not have been a more gracious and intelligent man to work for.  I learned so much from him and he will always be considered as one of the "Giants" in our industry.  My condolences to Betty and the entire Moriarty family.

I worked with John in his consulting capacity after he retired. I will always remember his can do attitude and memorable lunches.He will be missed by all who knew him....Dick Posiviata

If I ever needed to learn about wonderful fathers who had easy smiles --- that was you!  What a beautiful family you had, "Mr. Moriarty," and I loved times I spent with all of you while visiting your daughter Nancy. one of the dearest persons ever and a cherished friend.  Deep Peace and love to all of you.  This is indeed a sad time, but my memories glow only in fondness and happiness.

Most of the contact I had with "Mr. Moriarty" was seeing him coming through the door after work when one of our Camp Fire meetings was still going on.  He always had a smile for everyone and his demeanor always made me feel comfortable and welcome in his home.  I often thought how lucky his family was to have a father and husband that was so supportive of their interests and activities.  He was obviously a kind man who made the world a better place for the people who had the privilege to know him.  As he began to have health challenges in his later years, your love for him showed as you took care of him and allowed him the dignity to stay with his family in his home.  I'm sure he'd be the first one to tell you he felt well loved.  I know he will be sorely missed.  The depth of the pain we feel when we lose someone dear is a measure of the love we have for them.  I hope the saddness you feel will be soon replaced with loving memories.

November 14, 2011  You were like my "second" dad! You participated in our Junior High and High School Camp Fire Girl events! ( Today called Camp Fire USA) You sang with us as you drove us to movies and other fun events around Long Beach. You told me about a job opening and because of that I got my first job and learned a lot about what it takes to run a business. I am sure by now you have connected with my dad and talking about the "old neighborhood!"

To my special Cousin, who was also the "light of  your mother's life'.   You will be missed John and I have such special memories of your visits to Stockton to see Aunt Mable, my 'auntie Mame' and the good times you and Betty shared with me at your home in Long Beach and visits to see me in Sacramento.    Your kindness, generosity and always a big SMILE will be remembered always.
