Suzette, my heart goes out to you at this time.  You have been a rock for John over the many years of suffering and he was blessed to have you.  Take comfort in knowing that you made his life better.  I remember the way he looked at you at his wedding...Every woman wants to be looked at that way by the man they love.  You could see how deeply he loved you and how lucky he believed he was.

To The Rice Family,
I'm blessed to work with Suzette and you've been in my prayers for many years. In discussions with Suzette, I have clearly have seen the love that is shared among the Rice family and friends. I will continue to pray that your Faith only grows as you celebrate John's life.

Faith that there is good in everything.

Faith that love overcomes all.

Faith in a Father who loves us.

Faith that our home in Heaven is waiting for us.

I wanted to leave you with a verse that I feel sums up having Faith in all of life's moments.

If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. - Romans 14:8

Prayers for strength and peace during this time of sorrow for John's son Shane and daughter Mary Lou and his grandchildren Zanda, Mylia and Preston. Prayers for all of Shane's family and extended family who participated in John's life for more than 45 years. Shane and Mary Lou were extremely blessed that they were able to spend time with their father during the last few days of their father's life and being able to hold his hand as he passed over to the other side.

Suzette & family, I had the pleasure of knowing & working with big John while at the Boeing Aircraft Co. At first we were on opposite sides within our local union but, when we met we became friends instantly & always got along. A few other reasons for that was our then brilliant President of UAW-148 Doug Griffith. John & I also had the pleasure of working with two very good Human Resources men & that would be Howard Lieberman & Ken Ericksen. Even though we weren't always on the same side so to speak we just wanted to resolve the problems in the best interest of the company. It was a pleasure brother John. Old Jess in Thailand.

Suzette - I know you are sad, but take comfort that John is no longer suffering and that you did everything you could to help him.  May he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss Suzette.  You were very lucky to have such a wonderful guy in your life that loved you ever so much.  May he rest in peace.  Love always Don and Sandy Ketchum.
