Jose Martin Olmos

Jose was born on March 4, 1967 in Long Beach, California. Jose attended Woodrow Wilson High School attended Long Beach City College. Jose is the oldest son to Jose J. Olmos and Ofelia G. Olmos. Being the oldest, Jose provided his brothers Mike and Rob unconditional love and support until he passed. Jose will continue to look down from Heaven and guide his three beautiful daughters Marisa, Sofie, and Olivia onward through the rest of their lives. Jose’s loyalty, commitment, and ability to nourish interpersonal relationships allowed him to make several lifelong connections with many staff members, colleagues, and participants during his 27 years of working for the City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine. Jose’s passions included coaching softball, playing golf, going to R&B concerts, watching Baseball and Football (Dodgers and The Saints), and detailing his car to name a few. Those of you who knew Jose will remember his ability to engage in a wide range of conversations, his passion for helping those in need, and his heart of gold that allowed for genuine relationships to occur.
