Margaret L. Walch

Margaret was born on September 16, 1936. She went home to our Lord June 19, 2013. She was born to Beatrice Alm and Grant Lewis in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Blue Island, Illinois with her siblings Arnie, Nancy, and Jayne. She came to California at the age of 21. She then met and married Julius Johnson and had 2 daughters, Margaret and Elizabeth. She was married a second time to Larry Walch.

Margaret later divorced and became a very hard working single parent obtaining her nursing assistant certificate. She was employed at the Long Beach VA for 30 years and retired in 2003. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Medical Center until 2010.

Margaret’s greatest passions were her children, grandchildren, crossword puzzles, reading, watching Tiger Woods, and Days of Our Lives Soap Opera.

Margaret will always be remembered by: her siblings Arnie, Nancy, and Jayne, her loving daughters, Margaret and Elizabeth and her surrogate daughter Lisa, her son-in-laws, Arthur, Michael and Gregory, her loving grandchildren, Michael Jr., Javanna, Amber, Donyelle, Summer, Natasha, Amanda, Ebony, Brittney, Lakreesha and Andrew, her great grandchildren, Arianna, Serenity, Peatie, Dylan, and Savannah.
