Mary Rose Costello

Mary is predeceased by husband Francis “Frank”, Parents John & Josephine Cartonia, brothers Salvador, Francis, Samuel and sister Josephine.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her children, Joseph & Mary and John & Jenny; grandchildren, Denise, Michael, Tanya, Michelle, Monica, Christopher and John; great-grandchildren, Michala, Anthony, Addie, Sebastian, Kyle, Madison, Brett, Trevor and Fabiana; and great-great grandchildren, Iggy and Matthie.

Mary was born in Buffalo, NY, March 23, 1919. She enjoyed life especially being with her family, cooking her popular macaroni and red gravy and baking her beloved Italian cookies. She loved to shop, play cards, bingo and the slot machines on her casino road trips.

She was active in her church and community in Sun City, CA, where she lived for over 35 years. She moved to Long Beach in 2012 to be closer to her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3955 Orange Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90807 on Friday, September 19th at 10 a.m. A graveside service to follow at All Souls Cemetery, 4400 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach. A reception will follow at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, 5161 E. Arbor Road, Long Beach, CA 90918
