Michael Parker

He was born November 20, 1967 in Harbor City and passed away June 5, 2011 in Cebu City, Philippines. A graduate of Millikan High School and Long Beach City College, Michael achieved the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged after 8 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at Von's for 10 years and the past 13 years for the City of Long Beach as a public safety officer. Survived by his mother, Janice K. Parker; brother, Keith D. Parker; sister-in-law, Joan Parker and nephews, Geoffrey and Joseph Parker; and fiancée Jovelyn Ful. Services are Friday, June 17th, 8:30 am at Los Altos Grace Brethren Church, 6565 E. Stearns St., Long Beach, CA 90815. In lieu of flowers donations to the Police Widows & Orphans Fund. Interment to follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
