

Miguel Antonio "Tony" Rukos, 76, of Los Angeles died October 11, 2015. He was born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, to Roque and Elia (Xcaer) Rukos, who found refuge in Yucatan, from Lebanon in the early 1930's, to raise Miguel and his brothers, Franciso and Fernando. In 1960 he married Guadalupe Sanchez. They had two children, Miguel, Jr. and Angelica. Miguel brought his family to Los Angeles in 1964. He was employed as a driver for Greyhound Buslines in the early seventies, which put him on a career path that allowed him to earn a living doing what he loved, providing a service for the people of Los Angeles. He was a conductor for the RTD, then drove the Metro lines for over 40 years. He had a passion for the people and catered to them from his heart. He leaves his beloved wife Guadalupe; son Miguel Jr. and daughter Angie, a.k.a. Tyler. A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on October 26, 2015 at All Souls Cemetery & Mortuary in Long Beach, CA.
