Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Neang Rouen Khuth, known to friends and family as Ram. Born July 23, 1945 in Srok Chhouk, Kampot, and raised in Phnom Penh, she courageously led her family from Khmer Rouge in 1980 to settle in the Washington DC area. Devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, Neang was proceeded in death by her husband, Samrog Ou in 1975. She is survived by her 3 children; Sorya, Sophery, and Dolla, and her 8 grandchildren; Amanda, Brandon, John, Evelyn, Julius, Raymond, Victoria and April. Neang will be loved and missed by all for her compassion, generosity, selflessness, and strength. Her passion for life and her entire family will be remembered and cherished by everyone she touched.
