

Robert Lorin Jensen, a longtime resident of Big Bear, California passed away Saturday, April 30, in Texas with his daughter Kristine, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He lived a long life and passed at the age of 90. He was born in McIntosh, SD on June 20, 1925. He lived most of his childhood years in Springfield, IL where he met his wife to be Betty Jo Kane. Robert later moved to Inglewood, Ca where he would attend and graduate from Northrop Institute of Technology. Betty Jo Kane, the love of his life, followed soon after Robert left Springfield, IL and they were married. They had three children, Gregory, Kristine, and Jeffrey. Sadly on July 16, 1968 Robert lost his beloved wife Betty Jo. Robert remarried in 1971 to Anita Mae, who had two adult daughters Sharon and Christine. Robert Lorin Jensen worked at Northrup as a Aeronautical Engineer until he retired. During his lunch time he would play chess with his buddies and he won 1st place as chess champ. After retiring Robert and Anita moved to Big Bear, California. They enjoyed their retirement years to the fullest with many travels. Robert's favorite pass time was carving birds and ducks from wood. He won many awards for his fine craftsmanship. Robert also had an enormous love of nature and living in the mountains. He is survived by son Gregory, daughter Kristine, son Jeffrey, stepdaughter Sharon, and stepdaughter Christine, grandchildren Tom Coutch, Brian Coutch, Kristy Jensen, Jeremy Coutch, Jeffrey Jensen, and Jonathan Jensen, and great grandchildren Cassandra Jensen, Justin Coutch, Kyle Jensen, Selena Coutch, Blake Jensen, Daria Coutch, Kathleen Coutch, Gretchen Jensen, Lucas Coutch, and Nicholas Coutch. Robert was a very loving and thoughtful man. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. He will forever be in our hearts.
