Rosa Maria Torres

Rosa M. Torres, age 69 daughter of Maria & Antonio Nunez born in Mexico on February 16th 1946 – Deceased on March 19th 2015 after a brief but hard struggle with cancer. Rosa lived in Lakewood, CA with her loving husband of 50 years Vicente Torres. Rosa is survived by her husband, 3 sons, 1 brother & 2 sisters, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and other beloved relatives and friends. Rosa married Vicente Torres in 1964 and immediately moved to Los Angeles, CA where they were blessed with the birth of their 4 sons Armando, Alex, Oscar (Deceased) and Richard. In 1997 Rosa and family moved to Lakewood, CA where Rosa enjoyed the rest of her years. Rosa was a generous, loving, caring and a genuine person to all who knew her. Rosa lived her life to the fullest, she enjoyed traveling and vacations with family and friends. One of her favorite destinations were beach resorts and visiting family members. Rosa was a busy mom and wife but aside from managing a household of 4 sons and a husband, she also worked 40 + years throughout her life. When Rosa found spare time she enjoy cooking, family time, shopping and staying in-touch with her close friends (She had a lot). On September 2014 our mother was diagnosed with cancer (Leukemia), she never gave up she remained strong and positive throughout her treatment she is without question a wonderful and brave woman who never complained, helped others at a time of need and always maintained a positive outlook at an unknown future. Unfortunately after 7 months of on-going treatment our mother passed away and is now resting in peace. In Loving Memory & With Love,
