Dear Avila and Montoya families,
My heart breaks as I heard the news of Thersea's passing. It was so good to see her two years ago at our class reunion.  I am so glad that we have pictures from that so the memories live on. Theresa was a pure soul, so kind, so sweet. To her husband, daughters, mother, brothers and sister my sincere sympathy. Rest in Peace Theresa.

We are so sincerely sorry for your great loss.  May our Lord comfort and sustain you in the days and weeks to come.

My heart goes out to each member of the Avila/Montoya family. Theresa has been a part of my life for 40 years. I remember when I met her for the first time, I felt nervous, wondering if she would like me. But she made me feel comfortable, and we created a bond that has always been there. It was important to her that my children were baptized. She made arrangements for my son Dustin to be baptized in her church, while we were on vacation there. And she came to Utah to baptize my daughter Tesa, and be her Nina. She has always made me feel loved. I will miss her. But I know I will see her again.

My heart goes out the Avila family during this time of loss.  My prayer is for God's peace to be with you all and that time will ease the hurt.  May the love of your families and friends bring you comfort in the days ahead...

Mom my heart breaks knowing you are not here with me. You have always been my biggest cheerleader. You have always believed in me. You have always loved me. You have always been there for me. My only regret is that I didn't tell you enough how much you meant to me. I know you knew I did, but you deserved to have heard it from me several times a day. Mom I hate to imagine you not there at any family functions. You are a beautiful woman. I am proud to have called you my mom, honored to have been able to love you, and grateful to have been able to be loved by you. Love your TQ

To the Avila Family.  My heart is hurting for all of you.  Loss is never easy.  May you look to the Lord for comfort and peace.  He will anchor you and be with you as you grieve,  You know I've known your Mom for many years.  Some months back she called me out of the blue and we spoke with each other for a very long time.  We caught up on a lot of things.  I had told her to please feel free to call me any time.  I prayed for her and felt she was carrying some uncertainty in her mind.  I advised her to pay attention to how her body felt and to make sure to see her doctor.  I know what it feels like to lose a parent.  It's never the same but you find yourself going forward. Theresa was part of our baseball family. She was one of our dedicated baseball grandmas that showed up to almost all the games wearing the team shirt. She always cheered on all our players and encourage them to do well, especially her grandson, Jayden aka Dodger. She will be greatly missed in the stand, but we know she'll be there cheering on in spirit and will be our Angel in the outfield.

I am so sorry to here about Theresa. We were very good friends since 6th grade. We stayed in touch for a long time. Then we lost touch. She was a wonderful person. My sympathy goes out to all her family. I have missed herfor so long. I wish I would of gone to the school reunion.  Love you my dear friend. Hopefully we will see each other again.

She was so much fun and helpful during the football games as she helped me with the cheer program...especially in Hawaii when we had time to go dancing! :) Theresa we will miss you but we hold on to God's promise that we will all see each other again...love you Theresa Avila...blessed to call you my friend! Say Hi to my Dad for me and I know you are celebrating his birthday with him!!

I know how you feel right now and he time and the place of your healing are hidden from your eyes right now.  Someday the Lord will explain to us why the purpose and the necessity of all suffering of every little pain, of every serious illness, and of every heartbreaking loss.
Until your healing comes, please know that we are all praying for your healing of the great loss of our Theresa. We love you all so much. Because of our work schedule we are unable to come to the services but please know we will be there in spirit.

After losing my beautiful neice a month ago, my heart mourns once again for a beautiful person, Theresa. There are no words to express the loss of someone so young who had all the love and support from her friends and family during a rough time, no more suffering. God bless Theresita, Christena & family. Heaven has another beautiful angel.
