Timothy Nelson Weissenberger

Tim was a graduate of Loyola High School, honorably served in the Air Force for 4 years and graduated from Loyola Marymount where he received his Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting .He later earned his CPA and began his career with Arthur Young as a junior accountant and later moved to AVCO Insurance Company as a vice-president. He later became a Senior VP and CFO of Transit Casualty Insurance Company where retired from at the age of 53. Tim was an avid boater and with his wife Lucille they extensively cruised the west coast of Mexico, US and Alaska as well as the Channel Islands. He was a senior member of the Blue Water Cruising Club and active in all aspects of the club. One of Tim's greatest joys was taking his beloved Angel's Gate to Catalina Island. He enjoyed nothing more than to be anchored in Big Geiger Cove with his family and friends around him. He is survived by his wife, Lucille and daughter, Kym (Elder) and grand-daughter ,Nicole and son-in-law ,Eric Elder. He is also survived by his brothers, Dave, of Austin TX and Stephen of Towson, MD and sister, Karen of Ukiah, CA. Tim's beloved older brother Greg predeceased him in 2001. A Memorial Service & Celebration of Life for family &and friends will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club located at 7201 E.
