
William "Randy" Crawford died on May 7, with his family at his side. He was born in New York City to William R. Crawford, Jr. and Elizabeth Broward Crawford. Randy filled his 90 years with service, love, and a passion to create, infused with a fun-loving and competitive spirit. He was a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute and was a member of the 1952 National Intercollegiate Championship polo team. He was honored to serve with the 2nd Airborne Rangers during the Korean War, an experience that both demonstrated, and informed for the decades to follow, his brave and stalwart approach to life. After his military service, Randy completed a bachelor's degree at Stanford University and returned to pursue graduate studies in engineering. In 1963, Randy founded SCUBA DUBA Corporation, a yacht service company which is celebrating its 60th year. He served on the Marine Advisory Commission for the city of Long Beach for 13 years. Randy's family was the greatest beneficiary of his approach to life. He leaves behind his life's love, his wife Kathleen, their daughter, Megan Faulkner (Erik), their son, William Scott Crawford (Tara Bhuthimethee), and their grandchildren, Jamison Faulkner, Conrad Faulkner, Brynn Faulkner, and William Colton Crawford, to pursue their own journeys secure in the knowledge of his dedicated support. He is also survived by his sister, Catherine Pike. A Celebration of Randy's Life will be held on June 28th from 4-6pm at:
