Passed peacefully away, at the age of 84, on September 2nd 2023 at Haut Richelieu Hospital after a long ,sad unsuccessful struggle to recuperate from hip surgery and return to his home . Unfortunately a lot of health issues arised during his recovery including pneumonia, which meant that our wish for coming home would not be fulfilled. Many thanks to the staff at the hospital for thier excellent care and kindness for trying to make his wish come true.
James was predeceased by his parents Patrick and Elizabeth Holden , his only brother Mike and his wife Rita .He leaves to mourn his loving spouse Pauline ,7 sons James jr. (Lucie) ,Dermot ,Donald ,Kenny (Taeko), William, Patrick, Derek and 1 daughter Lorraine, 7 sisters Beth (Wince),Bernice, Sandy (Dave), Mary (Jerry), Patsy (John), Leah (Cliff), Maureen (Jerry); and a large number grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces,nephews,inlaws and friends .
He was a proud member of the Canadian Legion .
Visitations to be held at La Maison Darche ( 505 boul. Curé-Poirier Ouest, Longueuil, J4J 2H5) on Wednesday, September 13th, from 12:00 pm to 03:00 pm, followed by a religious ceremony.
