Dear Family and loved ones of Manual Antonio Pereira, 
We, the Portuguese Veteran's Association of Manitoba want to collectively express our sincerest condolences to your family, loved one and friends. We  are all deeply and profoundly saddened by your loss. We lost one of the kindest and most gentle people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. His true essence of giving back to all that crossed his path and making the lives of those around him truly left a beautiful and lasting impression. His monumental work and partnerships with various Veterans Associations of Canada and his passion for advancing veterans' health, wellness, quality and recognition of their duty to country in noteworthy and impressive, he leaves a lasting legacy. It was an honour and privilege to have been his lifelong friends - truly a beautiful man!   
Please accept our most sincerest thoughts and prayers and heartfelt sympathies from all of us from Manitoba.

Rest in peace dear old friend. I shall miss you and always cherish the good times our families spent together. My sincere condolences to the whole Family. 

You were our St. Peter and we knew you would open the garage for us. I think you will be the new gatekeeper for all of us to get where we are all going. In the meantime  bon voyage (this time not on KLM) and we all will see you at onetime or an other up there .Don’t forget to open the gate for your old   Buddies Manuel. Remember we are your. Friends!!!

Emanuel et moi sommes partis aux Açores pour présenter la pièce de théâtre Madre Teresa da anunciada avec o Sr Manuel Antonio.   Ce fut un plaisir de faire partie de l'équipe de travail pour la pièce avec cet homme dynamique.  Beaucoup de rires durant ce voyage et de peur aussi quand il conduisait la fourgonnette près des ravins de São Miguel :o).  Sr Manuel Antonio n'était pas du matin et il disait "Bom dia" du bout des lèvres ce qui faisait rire toute la troupe.  Il va nous manquer énormément.  Até um dia se Deus quiser Sr. Manuel Antonio.  Nos sincères condoléances à la famille.

Always a gentleman, he offered to carry some purchases I had made in Italy during a group trip. Upon arrival at airport, we separated only to hear a minute later the alarm go off at his luggage check-in location. Upon inspection, we learned that a purse I had bought contained a metal base. It was a moment of unexpected laughter that was repeated every time we talked about it. After all, he had no idea what he was carrying for me. Always attentive and considerate, he was the perfect friend. 
My deepest condolences to Tony (Debbie), Susie and the grandchildren he loved. May he Rest In Peace with his wife Maria Teresa.
